In my experience, very few evangelistic conversations require talking about Hell, but the conversations that do go there can be quite powerful. I find the topic of Hell comes up most frequently with people who have grown up in the church but walked away from the faith. Talking about Hell is never about scaring people into believing in Jesus. Hell is simply one of the truths of the Bible that we sometimes need to be reminded of.

God wants people to come to Him because of His great love in sending Jesus to die for us. He created Hell to punish demons, and He wishes no human would go there. The reality is that humans who reject Jesus as Savior will go there. I would want someone to warn me if I was headed for an eternal Lake of Fire, so I extend the same courtesy to others, out of love—and only if the conversation leads there.
